WHAT HAPPENS IN HEAVEN

This is one of the nicest e-mails I have seen and is so true: 
I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels. 
My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, 'This Is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to GOD said in prayer are Received..' 
I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.. 
Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section. 
The angel then said to me, 'This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them.'
I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth 
Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the Door of a very small station To my great surprise, only one angel was Seated there, idly doing nothing. 'This is the Acknowledgment Section,' My angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed 'How Is it that there is no work going on here?' I asked. 
'So sad,' the angel sighed. 'After people receive the blessings that they asked For, very few send back acknowledgments .' 
'How does one acknowledge GOD's blessings?' I asked. 
'Simple,' the angel answered. Just say, 'Thank you, LORD.' 
'What blessings should they acknowledge? ' I asked. 
'If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy .' 
'And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity. ' 
Also ...... 
' If you woke up this morning with more health than illness ... You are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day .' 
'If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation .. You are ahead of 700 million people in the world.' 
'If your parents are still alive and still married ...you are very rare .' 
'If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you're unique to all those in doubt and despair.' 
Ok, what now? How can I start? 
If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.

Life Is Wonderful

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet.
He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help."
There were only a few coins in the hat. A man was walking by.
He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat.
He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words.
He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.
Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy.
That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were.
The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were u the one who changed my
sign this morning? What did u write?"

The wife and the window

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood. The next morning, while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hang the wash outside.

That laundry is not very clean, she said, she doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap.

Her husband looked on, but remained silent. Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments.

The Master

When one Guru was dying, one of his deciple asked him "Guruji, who was your master?"

He said, "I had thousands of masters. If I just relate their names it will take months, years and it is too late. But three masters I will certainly tell you about. "

"One was a thief. Once I got lost in the desert, and when I reached a village it was very late, everything was closed. But at last I found one man who was trying to make a hole in the wall of a house. I asked him where I could stay and he said 'At this time of night it will be difficult, but you can stay with me - if you can stay with a thief'.

And the man was so beautiful. I stayed for one month! And each night he would say to me, 'Now I am going to my work. You rest, you pray.'

When he came back I would ask 'Could you get anything?'

He would say, 'Not tonight. But tomorrow I will try again, God willing.' He was never in a state of hopelessness, he was always happy. When I was meditating and meditating for years on end and nothing was happening, many times the moment came when I was so desperate, so hopeless,that I thought to stop all this nonsense. And suddenly I would remember the thief who would say every night, 'God willing, tomorrow it is going to happen."

"And my second master was a dog. I was going to the river, thirsty and a dog came. He was also thirsty. He looked into the river, he saw another dog there -- his own image -- and became afraid. He would bard and run away, but his thirst was so much that he would come back. Finally, despite his fear, he just jumped into the water, and the image disappeared. "And the third master was a small child. I entered a town and a child was carrying a lit candle. He was going to thetemple to put the candle there.'

Just joking, I asked the boy, 'Have you lit the candle yourself?'

And I asked, 'There was a moment when the candle was unlit, then there was a moment when the candle was lit. Can you show me the source from which the light came?'

And the boy laughed, blew out the candle, and said, 'Now you have seen the light going. Where has it gone? You will tell me!'

My ego was shattered, my whole knowledge was shattered. And that moment I felt my own stupidity. Since then I dropped all my knowledgeability."

Significance of 108

It is the practice in every calculation and transaction of the currency or any thing to round off the figure to one, by removing the decimals and also to ten, hundred and thousand so on. But in every pooja, we worship God/Goddess in 108 names which we call it as Ashtottara. Why not 100 a round figure? If we go deep into its significance:

The Indian Subcontinent rosary or set of mantra counting has 108 beads.
108 has been a sacred number in the Indian Subcontinent for a very long time.
This number is explained in many different ways.
The ancient Indians were excellent mathematicians and 108 may be the product of a precise mathematical operation
(e.g. 1 power 1 x 2 power 2 x 3 powers 3 = 108) which was thought to have special numerological significance.

Powers of 1, 2, and 3 in math: 1 to 1st power=1; 2 to 2nd power=4 (2x2); 3 to 3rd power=27 (3x3x3). 1x4x27=108

Sanskrit alphabet: There are 54 letters in the Sanskrit alphabet. Each has masculine and feminine, Siva and Sakti. 54 times 2 are 108.
Sri Yantra: On the Sri Yantra there is marmas where three lines intersect, and there are 54 such intersections. Each intersection has masculine and feminine, Siva and Sakti qualities. 54 x 2 equals 108. Thus, there are 108 points that define the Sri yantra as well as the human body.
9 times 12: Both of these numbers have been said to have spiritual significance in many traditions. 9 times 12 is 108. Also, 1 plus 8 equals 9. That 9 times x 12 equals 108.

Heart Chakra: The chakras are the intersections of energy lines, and there are said to be a total of 108 energy lines converging to form the heart chakra. One of them, sushumna leads to the crown chakra, and is said to be the path to Self-realization.

Marmas: Marmas or marmastanas are like energy intersections called chakras, except have fewer energy lines converging to form them. There are said to be 108 marmas in the subtle body.

Time: Some say there are 108 feelings, with 36 related to the past, 36 related to the present, and 36 related to the future.

Astrology: There are 12 constellations, and 9 arc segments called namshas or chandrakalas. 9 times 12 equal 108. Chandra is moon, and kalasa are the divisions within a whole.
Planets and Houses: In astrology, there are 12 houses and 9 planets. 12 times 9 equal 108.
1, 0, and 8: 1 stands for God or higher Truth, 0 stands for emptiness or completeness in spiritual practice, and 8 stands for infinity or eternity.
Sun and Earth: The diameter of the sun is 108 times the diameter of the Earth.

Numerical scale: The 1 of 108, and the 8 of 108, when added together equals 9, which is the number of the numerical scale, i.e. 1, 2, 3 ... 10, etc., where 0 is not a number.

Smaller divisions: The number 108 is divided, such as in half, third, quarter, or twelfth, so that some malas have 54, 36, 27, or 9 beads.

Islam: The number 108 is used in Islam to refer to God.

Jain: In the Jain religion, 108 are the combined virtues of five categories of holy ones, including 12, 8, 36, 25, and 27 virtues respectively.
Sikh: The Sikh tradition has a mala of 108 knots tied in a string of wool, rather than beads.

Chinese: The Chinese Buddhists and Taoists use a 108 bead mala, which is called su-chu, and has three dividing beads, so the mala is divided into three parts of 36 each.
Stages of the soul: Said that Atman, the human soul or center goes through 108 stages on the journey.

Meru: This is a larger bead, not part of the 108. It is not tied in the sequence of the other beads. It is the guiding bead, the one that marks the beginning and end of the mala.
Dance: There are 108 forms of dance in the Indian traditions.

Pythagorean: The nine is the limit of all numbers, all others existing and coming from the same. i.e.: 0 to 9 is all one needs to make up an infinite amount of numbers.

There are 108 Upanishads contained in the Muktikopanishad. The same are given hereunder, in four categories according to the particular Veda to which each of them belong.

People laughed hysterically over the joke.

Then he repeated the joke and fewer people laughed.

Then he repeated the joke again and again there was lesser laughter.

This went on for some more time and each time there was lesser laughter.

Food, sleep, fear and procreation - these are equal in animals and humans.
Virtue (dharma) alone is distinctive in them.
Those who avoid dharma are equal to animals.
Eating when hungry, sleeping, fear, procreation - these traits are common to both animals and humans. So, what is the difference between animals and humans?
Just being educated do not qualify one person as an educated, What sets humans apart is their ability to follow a path of virtue (dharma). Their intellect, paves way for them to think what is good and what is bad.A true human sticks to the one that qualifies as dharma. That ability of decision making in coherence of dharma, are what makes him human. Else, he would be showing the same traits as the rest of the beings, which are called animals. Hence, if one doesn't follow the path of virtue, he is as good as an animal!

The one faculty that sets us apart from other beings is dharma. Do not forgo that for any reason.
Be human, follow dharma.

Effective Immediately, please be aware that there are changes YOU need to make in YOUR life.
These changes need to be completed in order that I may fulfill My promises to you to grant you peace, joy and happiness in this life.
After all that I am doing, this seems very little to ask of you. Please, follow these 10 guidelines

QUIT WORRYING:
Life has dealt you a blow and all you do is sit and worry. Have you forgotten that I am here to take all your burdens and carry them for you?
Or do you just enjoy fretting over every little thing that comes your way?

PUT IT ON THE LIST:
Something needs done or taken care of. Put it on the list. No, not YOUR list. Put it on MY to-do-list. Let ME be the one to take care of the problem. I can't help you until you turn it over to Me. And although My to-do-list is long, I am after all... God. I can take care of anything you put into My hands. In fact, if the truth were ever really known, I take care of a lot of things for you that you never even realize.

TRUST ME:
Once you've given your burdens to Me, quit trying to take them back. Trust in Me.
Have the faith that I will take care of all your needs, your problems and your trials.
Problems with the kids? Put them on My list.
Problem with finances? Put it on My list.
Problems with your emotional roller coaster?
For My sake, put it on My list.
I want to help you. All you have to do is ask.

LEAVE IT ALONE:
Don't wake up one morning and say,
"Well, I'm feeling much stronger now, I think I can handle it from here." Why do you think you are feeling stronger now?

It's simple.
You gave Me your burdens and I'm taking care of them.
I also renew your strength and cover you in my peace. Don't you know that if I give you these problems back,
you will be right back where you started?
Leave them with Me and forget about them.
Just let Me do my job.

TALK TO ME:
I want you to forget a lot of things.
Forget what was making you crazy..
Forget the worry and the fretting because you know
I'm in control.. But there's one thing I pray you never forget. Please, don't forget to talk to Me -OFTEN!
I love YOU!
I want to hear your voice. I want you to include Me in on the things going on in your life.
I want to hear you talk about your friends and family. Prayer is simply you having a conversation with Me.
I want to be your dearest friend.

HAVE FAITH:
I see a lot of things from up here that you can't see from where you are.
Have faith in Me that I know what I'm doing.
Trust Me; you wouldn't want the view from My eyes.
I will continue to care for you, watch over you, and meet your needs.
You only have to trust Me.
Although I have a much bigger task than you, it seems as if you have so much trouble just doing your simple part. How hard can trust be?

SHARE:
You were taught to share when you were only two years old.
When did you forget?
That rule still applies. Share with those who are less fortunate than you.. Share your joy with those who need encouragement.
Share your laughter with those who haven't heard any in such a long time. Share your tears with those who have forgotten how to cry. Share your faith with those who have none.

BE PATIENT:
I managed to fix it so in just one lifetime you could have so many diverse experiences.
You grow from a child to an adult, have children,
change jobs many times, learn many trades,
travel to so many places, meet thousands of people, and experience so much.
How can you be so impatient then when it takes Me a little longer than you expect to handle something on My to-do-list?
Trust in My timing, for My timing is perfect.
Just because I created the entire universe in only six days, everyone thinks I should always rush, rush, rush.

BE KIND:
Be kind to others, for I love them just as much as I love you.
They may not dress like you, or talk like you, or live the same way you do, but I still love you all.
Please try to get along, for My sake. I created each of you different in some way. It would be too boring if you were all identical.
Please, know I love each of your differences.

LOVE YOURSELF:
As much as I love you, how can you not love yourself? You were created by me for one reason only -- to be loved, and to love in return. I am a God of Love.
Love Me.
Love your neighbors. But also love yourself.
It makes My heart ache when I see you
so angry with yourself when things go wrong. You are very precious to me.

Don't ever forget...... IT IS GOD'S GIFT BE THANKFUL

Important lessons to learn from a humble pencil.

It tells you that everything you do will always leave a Mark.

You can always correct the mistake you make.

The important thing in life is what you are from inside and not from out side.

In life you will undergo painful sharpenings which will make you better in whatever you do.

Finally, to be the best you can be, you must allow yourself to be held and guided by the hand that holds you.

GOD created DONKEY and told him, 'You will work tireless from sunrise up to sunset, carrying heavy bags on your back, you will eat grass. You will not have intelligence and you will live 50 years. You will be a DONKEY!'

 DONKEY answered, 'I will be a DONKEY, but living 50 years is too much, give me only 20 years!' and GOD gave him 20 years.

 GOD created DOG and told him ' You will look after man's house, you will be his best friend, you will eat whatever they give you and you will live 25 years, You will be a DOG!'

DOG answered 'GOD, living 25 years is too much, give only 10 years!' and GOD gave him 10 years.

 GOD created MONKEY and told him, 'you will jump from branch to branch you will do silly things, you will be amusing and you will live 20 years, you will be a MONKEY!'

MONKEY answered 'GOD, living 20 years is too much, give me only 10 years!' and GOD gave him 10 years.

Finally,

GOD created MAN and told him, 'you will be a MAN the only rational being on this earth and you will use your intelligence to control other animals, you will dominate the world and you will live for 20 years.

The MAN answered, GOD I will be a man but living 20 years is not enough, why don't you give me the 30 years that the DONKEY refused, the 15 years that the DOG didn't want and the 10 years that the MONKEY refused ?'

That was exactly what GOD did, and since then:

MAN lives 20 years like a MAN, then he gets married and spends 30 years like a DONKEY, working and carrying the load on his back. Then, when his children leave he spends 15 years like DOG looking after the house and eating whatever is given to him. Then he gets old, retires and spends 10 years like a MONKEY, jumping from house to house or from children to children, doing silly things to amuse his grandchildren!

100 Mirrors

Long ago in a small, far away village,
there was a place known as the House of 100 Mirrors.
A small, happy little dog learned of this place and decided to visit.
When he arrived, he bounced happily up the stairs to the doorway of the house.
He looked through the doorway with his ears lifted high and his tail wagging as fast as it could.
To his great surprise, he found himself staring at 100 other happy little dogs with their tails wagging just as fast as his.

He smiled a great smile, and was answered with 100 great smiles just as warm and friendly.
As he left the house, he thought to himself,
"This is a wonderful place. I will come back and visit it often."

In this same village, another little dog, who was not quite as happy as the first one, decided to visit the house.
He slowly climbed the stairs and hung his head low as he looked into the door.
When he saw the 100 unfriendly looking dogs staring back at him, he growled at them and was horrified to see 100 little dogs growling back at him. As he left, he thought to himself, "That is a horrible place, and I will never go back there again."

All the faces in the world are mirrors.
The reflections you see in the faces of the people you meet depends on you.
You have a choice!
