If you find Yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an Emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to Establish the emergency number for you, and in terestingly, this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.
Have you locked your keys in the car?
Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys In the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot.From your car door and ha ve the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following Digits on your phone: *#06#. A 15-digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe.
If your phone gets stolen, you can phone your service provider a nd giv e them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.

Free Directory Service for Cells
Cell phone companies are charging us $1.00 to $1.75 or more for 411 information calls when they don't have to. Most of us do not carry a telephone directory in our vehicle, which makes this situation even more of a problem. When you need to use the 411 information option, simply dial : (800)FREE411, or (800) 373-3411 without incurring any charge at all. Program this into your cell phone now.

Taliban's law ( How lucky are we)
We should be glad that we were not born in Afganistan,
especially for women...
The Taliban is well on its way to making Afghanistan one of the most fundamentalist Islamic regimes in the world. In the process, many activities have been forbidden. Bans include:
No television, music or movies unless they have a religious theme.
No whistling or clapping or cheering in celebrations.
You can only chant Allah-o-Akbar (God is Great).
No dancing.
No shorts -- only long pants. Even for athletes.
No photography.
No smoking.
No pork consumption.
No recycling the Koran.
No paper bags (because it might be a recycled Koran.)
No flying kites or playing with pigeons -- it distracts children from their religious studies.
No Labor Day (May 1). It's a Communist holiday.
No converting from Islam under penalty of death. And there are special laws, depending on your gender.
Only for men:
No men with clean-shaven faces.
Facial hair has to be long enough that it protrudes from a fist clasped at the point of the chin -- or you get jail until it grows back.
No working outside the home, except in limited circumstances like medicine.
No men without head coverings.
Boys without head coverings are refused access to schools.
No leaving home without a body-covering burqa, or without being accompanied by a close male relative.
Only for women
No dealing with male shopkeepers.
No formal schooling.
No revealing your ankles.
No treatment by male doctors. (Separate hospitals for men and women.)
No make-up.
No brightly colored clothes.
No associating with foreign men.
No sex outside marriage under penalty of stoning.
No laughing loudly.
A stranger should not be able to hear your voice.
No wearing high heels, or anything that makes sound when you're walking.
No driving, if you're foreign.
No performing on TV, radio, or appearing at public gatherings.
No riding bicycles or motorcycles, even when accompanied by a male relative.
No washing clothes next to a river or any public place.
No going to male tailors.
No transparent windows in houses that have female occupants; they must be painted over.
No white socks (because they are considered a sexual lure, or because Afghanistan's flag is a simple white sheet).

शंख
शंख क्यों बजाते हैं ? इसके पीछे क्या कारण है
शंख बजाने के पीछे धार्मिक कारण तो है साथ ही इसके पीछे वैज्ञानिक कारण भी है और शंख बजाने वाले व्यक्ति को स्वास्थ्य लाभ भी मिलता है।
शंख बजाने का स्वास्थ्य लाभ यह है कि यदि कोई बोलने में असमर्थ है या उसे हकलेपन का दोष है तो शंख बजाने से ये दोष दूर होते हैं।
शंख बजाने से कई तरह के फेफड़ों के रोग दूर होते हैं जैसे दमा, कास प्लीहा यकृत और इन्फ्लून्जा आदि रोगों में शंख ध्वनि फायदा पहुंचाती है।
शंख के जल से शालीग्राम को स्नान कराएं और फिर उस जल को यदि गर्भवती स्त्री को पिलाया जाए तो पैदा होने वाला शिशु पूरी तरह स्वस्थ होता है। साथ ही बच्चा कभी मूक या हकला नहीं होता।
यदि शंखों में भी विशेष शंख जिसे दक्षिणावर्ती शंख कहते हैं इस शंख में दूध भरकर शालीग्राम का अभिषेक करें। फिर इस दूध को नि:संतान महिला को पिलाएं। इससे उसे शीघ्र ही संतान का सुख मिलता है।

प्याज
अगर*बच्चों या बुजुर्गों को*खांसी के साथ कफ ज्यादा गिर रहा हो तो* एक चम्मच प्याज के रस को चीनी या गुड मिलाकर चटा दीजिये* सुबह, दोपहर,शाम*फिर कफ का काम तमाम*.
बवासीर में १५ ग्राम रस को १५ ग्राम चीनी मिलाकर सात दिन पिलाइए,
अगर जोड़ो में दर्द है या त्वचा पर कहीं जलन हो रही है तो प्याज के रस को सरसों के तेल में बराबर मात्र में मिलाएं और मालिश करें ,बहुत आराम मिलेगा
कान के दर्द में दो से पांच बूंद गरम करके डालिए
मसढो के दर्द या सूजन में १० ग्राम रस नमक मिला कर पिलाइए और दो -चार बूंद रस में नमक मिलाकर मालिश भी कीजिये,आधे घंटे में आराम
नाक में से खून निकले तो एक एक बूंद रस दोनों नाक में डाल लीजिये
अगर मिर्गी का दौरा चढ़ रहा हो तो सफ़ेद प्याज का रस निकाल कर काजल की तरह आँखों में लगा दीजिये ,लाभ दिखायी पडेगा .
अगर गरमी के कारण सर दर्द करने लगे तो प्याज को तोड़ कर सूघिये ,दो मिनट लगातार सूघने से दर्द गायब .इस सम्बन्ध में तो बुजुर्ग भी कहते हैं कि लू से बचने के लिए आधा प्याज काट कर जेब में रख कर चलो.
अगर किसी को हैजा हो गया हो तो हर १५ मिनट पर दो -दो चम्मच प्याज का रस पिलाते रहिये जल्दी ही कालरा के कीटाणु मर जायेंगे और घर के और लोग भी सुरक्षित रहेंगे.
जुकाम हो गया हो तो सफ़ेद प्याज काट कर नाक से सूँघिये .
पीलिया [जांडिस] हो गया है तो एक सफ़ेद प्याज को कूंच कर उसमें गुड और हल्दी मिला कर चोखा बना लीजिये और सुबह शाम चार दिन लगातार खाइए ,आठ प्याज खर्च होंगे ,लगभग २५० ग्राम गुड और १०० ग्राम हल्दी खर्च होगी और पीलिया जैसी जानलेवा बीमारी गायब
अगर शरीर में कहीं दाद जैसी खुजली होरही हो तो प्याज के बीजों को सिरके में पीसिये और उक्त स्थान पर लगाइए
किसी भी जहरीले जानवर ने काट लिया हो तो प्याज के दो टुकडे कीजिये और काटे हुए स्थान पर खूब घिसाई कीजिए,सांप बिच्छू ,कुत्ता ,मकड़ी, मधुमक्खी , चूहा आदि किसी जानवर का जहर नहीं चढ़ेगा
बच्चों की वृद्धि रूक गयी हो तो प्याज में गुड मिला कर खिलाइए ,तेजी से बढ़ेंगे बच्चे
